The adventure tour for everyone
We take the mine railway one kilometre down into the St. Ignaz Gallery, then from the underground station walk through the show gallery. The guided tour route inside the heart of the mountain is 360 metres long and runs on two levels. A journey in time through the centuries old history of the Prettau copper mine - from the Middle Ages to the modern era, from manual labour with hammer and pick to the use of dynamite.

Clothing: We recommend warm clothes and sturdy footwear (temperature in the gallery: 8°C) Rain coats and helmets are provided by the museum.
The tour is not recommended for those with circulatory problems and/or claustrophobia.
